Security forces killed  three terrorists after overnight anti-insurgency operation in Handwara.

An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Handwara district’s Unisoo on Sunday night. Three terrorists have been gunned down and counter-terror operations are underway.

The three neutralised terrorists are suspected to be Pakistanis, belonging to the terror outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba.

Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid tweeted that a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir police, RR and CRPF carried out the operation.

“It has been raining whole night & boys were out there in the cold,” he tweeted.

Security forces launched the cordon and search operation after receiving information of presence of terrorists in the area.
